The impressive palace, located in the heart of Vienna, dates back to 1844 and was transformed in 2003 into a luxurious five-star boutique hotel, within which a renowned starred restaurant can also be found.
The stunning hall in the basement shows a fascinating contrast between the ancient city walls brought to light during restoration work and the refined atmosphere of the place, embellished by the wide floor made of precious polychrome marble. The mosaic depicts the 1850 map of the city of Vienna and measures about 190 square meters.
Enhancing the elegant atmosphere of the restaurant room is a niche covered in mosaic made from fine amethyst crystals.
A large wave brings the dynamism and rhythmic force of the sea to the room dedicated to relaxation and fitness. The work creates the visual impression that the ceiling is being pushed upward and at the same time it looks as if the wave wants to dive into the adjacent pool.
